  1. @Drayvn Last movie I saw in the theater was Star Trek. STAR TREK! But I'm breaking my fast with Avatar.
  2. @Drayvn Good enough - haven't heard anything yet that has convinced me to hold off for a rental. LOL.
  3. @Drayvn Besides, I frickin' liked Titanic...and the Abyss. So I'm what they call int he carny biz "an easy mark".
  4. @Drayvn Besides, who hasn't wanted to see a Halo/Pocahantas mash-up?
  5. @Drayvn And THAT is just fine with me, as long as he pulls it off - and it sounds like he does.
  6. @Drayvn Sometimes I go to the movies not to have my heart warmed or have my thoughts provoked. Sometimes I want to be rocked, you know?
  7. @Drayvn I don't, however, expect Cameron to have suddenly become David frickin' Mamet between Titanic and this film.
  8. @Drayvn Well, I expect to be wow'ed and I expect to be entertained, with moments of "hell ya" Cameron action. That's a ticket for me.
  9. Just strikes me as so bizarre to go to a movie expecting the film-maker to "win" you over.
  10. Like I've said before, I've never paid to see a movie that I didn't WANT to be caught up in.
  11. OK, so it was written by Jim Cameron. Got it. It's OK to let yourself be swallowed by a movie in purely cinematic terms, folks.
  12. Like they have to protect their image as discriminating tastes by saying "It was...OK, but the script was terrible"
  13. Interesting thing about the AVATAR reviews I'm reading: seems like a lot of people are afraid to admit they liked it *despite* a crap script
  14. Or maybe it should be something like Wizards of Atomic-Age Combat...yeah...or just Wizards of Combat...or COMBAT!!!
  15. It's now Atomic-Age Combat http://www.cartoonjam.com/view/issue/Action-Adventure/Atomic_Age_Combat/002/
  16. My imaginary band used to be called Abandoned Factory Action Sequence (or AFAS), but I'm changing it up.
  17. Co-workers: Please step bringing me candy. I will either throw it away and feel bad, or eat it and feel worse.
  18. I'm going to wear this to a friend's wedding: http://www.80stees.com/products/Cobra-Commander-Costume.asp. Our friendship won't survive.
  19. @Drayvn And pizza. And beer.
  20. @TheJoker There are a lot of great things like that on 80's Tees.
