  1. Windows Vista's window borders are nine pixels thick. Nine! *Much* too visually noisy for my eyes. http://bit.ly/5oCDiv
  2. Twitter succeeded because of its utter simplicity; it is whatever we choose to use it as.
  3. @amarshwren precisely that scene.. (except I thought the doorman was the fish, not the other one) :)
  4. I'm thankful that we have a house and food to eat, and are all alive and healthy and together.
  5. "Smart Scroll uses Unsanity's APE [... and] Mach_*" ... oh? No thanks.
  6. Thanks @aclark for your bug fixes on @the_gist, they seem to be working great! :)
  7. Merry Thanksgiving! http://yfrog.com/1yf3nj
  8. Going to bed; will try and sleep off this bottle of White Zinfandel (mmmm delicious).
  9. @kickingbear hmm thanks for the suggestion; though the "clickable" rect seems to simply be offset by N pixels higher than the cursor's rect.
  10. Hopeful someone else knows how to fix this typography-related issue at http://github.com/sdegutis/...#issue/2 for @the_gist
  11. @davedelong LOL, I love the tooltip in that one :D
  12. We should try new things every day, right? Tonight's "good" idea: coding drunk. I don't expect to be as productive but that's not the point.
  13. I really really really love solving problems. Especially using Cocoa.
  14. It's getting harder to work out the brent-mode logic in #thegist when we need to find out which account a tweet "belongs to" for colorizing.
  15. News outlets require your attention for their survival, and have little incentive to provide anything of quality to you. Why put up with it?
  16. @bengottlieb Hell yeah!
  17. The @the_gist's twitter account is broken :( meantime, I've made the UI a lot more friendly by fixing some keyboard-related bugs and nuances
  18. @catshive I've finally run into the NSViewController problem detailed on your blog; thanks for posting that, I'm studying the sample now :)
  19. It's frustrating that the Menu-Item-Based Responder Chain doesn't travel down NSWindowController's nextResponder-chain. Is there a solution?
  20. The Responder Chain for menu items really hate NSViewControllers, don't they? And why can't they ask the NSWindowController's nextResponder?
