sculpin

Escaped, mostly intact, from a den of Chickens Of Doom.

sculpin Whew. I'm done with my fake patient gig until August and ready to sleep in a while.
sculpin Huh. May well have found a local sustainability-type group that isn't full of it: Sustainable NE Seattle's urban farming group.
sculpin About ready to give up on Boing Boing *and* Making Light. Sheesh.
sculpin Dreamed that "coward" referred to people who wore magic amulets to protect themselves from cows. (Which, admittedly, could be a problem.)
sculpin My a-ha! moment: old-fashioned straight clothespins are ideal for pegging down the edges of bird netting.
sculpin Going off caffeine. I halved my coffee consumption this week and it's not so pleasant.
sculpin @rjl20 Well, it's better than our previous plan, which was downtown. Still wish we'd gotten the Honey Bear stuff.
sculpin I've got a nearby source of espresso grounds now. Excellent! High N, low C -- good compost. In fall, I'll try growing oyster mushrooms.
sculpin @arjache I'll have to give that a try. Thanks!
sculpin @arjache Barley sweet tea? I'd like to know more!
sculpin The chickens love carrot greens. I think the Delaware may know how to lie.
sculpin Informing the Delaware that chickens who launch themselves at my face become stew.
sculpin Flicker flicker... This'd be a bad time for the power to go out. Though I guess we could always put a hot water bottle in for the chickens.
sculpin Screwing up my first temari just putting the marker threads in. This instructional book stinks. Thank goodness for web tutorials.
sculpin Back from farmers' market, having carefully carried home a tiny tea seedling in an oyster bucket on our little red tandem.
sculpin Perhaps I will not take that bicycle excursion today after all. On the other hand, at least I don't have to water the garden.
sculpin Transplanted onions and lettuce. Wow, the chard has gotten huge. Chicks still adorable -- they're little feathery balls of mischief now.
sculpin Thinking good thoughts about the Seattle Free School. For one thing, I bet it'll never put me through a 2-hr meeting about vision&values.
sculpin Concerned that the Welsummer may be a rooster. Oh crud. Smartest, sweetest-tempered chick of the lot, too.
