  1. Burst of energy this morning. Started writing at 4am. Script looking healthier at 6.36am. 51 pages. Feeling better about the shape of it now
  2. Although there's an old and wise Scandinavian saying - no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. North Face it is then.
  3. Filming in Ealing on the 5th. Covent Garden on the 6th. Little script I wrote called Crazy Pickles. Think I'll need some warm clothes...
  4. Exciting movie news! There's going to be a movie made of Mr Benn. Would love a crack at that script. Up to page 44 now of new script.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watc... - luckiest rugby fan ever...
  6. Short films are entertaining though, don't get me wrong, but sensible business option must be feature. Quite a few directors I know say this
  7. With digital technology much cheaper, why do people make a short when they can make a (sellable) feature? Cast and camera already there so...
  8. This is amusing - http://www.youtube.com/watc...
  9. Ran into Scotland striker James McFadden. He was pretty low after dismal result against Wales at weekend. A hot bridie should cheer him up.
  10. Edward Woodward RIP - Great actor. Original Wicker Man still the best. Guilty pleasure was the Equaliser too. Great soundtrack too.
  11. Scottish director got in touch. He wants to collaborate on Gaelic thriller I wrote last year. Difficult to find time to work on this.
  12. Great 40th party in Glasgow (Scotland). Party 2 London next week. One guest hungover from Gerry Butler's 40th night before. Pepsi challenge!
  13. Up to 40 pages of new script. Chatted with LA producer about developing another script. Probably December now for that ball to get rolling.
  14. Couple of days filming start of December in London. Aim to make 2 features in 2010. Turn 40 on Sunday body crumbling faster than Berlin Wall
  15. Just watched GROUNDHOG DAY with Bill Murray. Can't believe this was made in 1993. Still a great movie. If you've not seen it, rent it.
  16. Industrious early start to the day. Managed to get 5 pages of script done. 33 pages now. Getting there. Watched the sun rise as I worked!
  17. Then again, Police Academy: Mission to Moscow.
  18. Statistically, you have more chance of being hit by lightning than selling a screenplay to Hollywood producer. There's a shock to the system
  19. Bit of a slow week for new script. Had a lot of pressing copy work. Managed to get to the script today finally. Up to 28 pages now. Good day
  20. Good writing session today - up to 17 pages with new script. Developing nicely. Recommended buy - THE OBSERVATION DECK a toolkit for writers
