  1. Other Palin shoe must drop (as Josh Marshall puts it). Nobody resigns so abruptly unless some rough-beast revelation slouching toward 'em.
  2. got it figured out. Sanford wasn't in Argentina at all. It was Alaska. Palin=soulmate. A GOP dream ticket for 2012?
  3. Gotta be more on Palin on its way. TPM suspects "latest round of revelations shook something else loose that we haven't heard about yet."
  4. @Digidave that was a Microsoft recipe for success: dominated markets, but always thought "we're losing!" It does warp the mind eventually.
  5. RT @heathr lyrical beautiful insights about our enmeshment with tech+each other I recommend @mwesch his pdf talk: http://tinyurl.com/m8cd5z
  6. @jeffjarvis blogging used to be procrastination from longer-form writing. Now tweeting can be procrastination from blogging!
  7. @BJMuntain thanks, glad to hear it; still, I work to minimize my US-centrism and cop to it when I lapse...
  8. thx @coachkiki for pting out my Freudian/analytical choice of bk titles, from "Dreaming" to "Say Everything," which is what analysts exhort.
  9. Thanks, Sylvia Paull, for kind words on "Say Everything," at Berkeley Blog: http://bit.ly/4vkoK (via @Fritinancy)
  10. WashPost "salon" ruckus was easy; real problem for newsrooms= covering their owners (cf. NYT Falcone piece): my post http://is.gd/1mwax
  11. @kevinmarks Thanks for compliment. I always loved that spch. Stoppard, being good dramatist, also allowed that Brodie's cause had merit.
  12. @ajkeen versatility has always been gd, but mastering single discipline still valuable too. Text ppl can collaborate w/photo, video whizzes.
  13. I challenge the idea of "static text." Well-written text dances and sings. It ceases to be static when it lands in your brainpan.
  14. "static text blogs are dead" says @ajkeen but his inaugural post at Telegraph blog http://tr.im/qLyh is composed entirely of "static text"
  15. correction on last tweet: of course, it's rest of *United States* not world that is taking today off. Apologies for my lapse in globalism.
  16. We who are self-employed face dilemma on day like this: rest of world is on holiday. But our piles of work don't take the day off.
  17. @jayrosen_nyu heh. Wish my drafts had such nice typography and elegant layout choices
  18. @JonHenke Techmeme is significantly more read in tech 'sphere than Memeorandum in political 'sphere. Not sure why. Geeks love algorithms?
  19. @billbarol I've been with Emusic since 2000 or so. I'll wait around a little bit longer. But definitely weighing the situation as you are.
  20. RT @stevebaker An intervw I did with Scott Rosenberg, author of blog history Say Everything: http://bit.ly/15yQso [thnx, steve! enjoyed it]
