Apparently, I only exist as bad OCR. http://tinyurl.com/6mvjvk
Finally saw 'The Invasion' -- wasn't too bad. It seemed more Puppetmasters than Bodysnatchers, though. The 1978 version is still the best.
Reclaimed my long-lost iTools username. Thank-you Apple, for recycling dead .mac accounts. My passwd was too strong and my hint too cryptic!
DVRs that save recordings of channels they don't receive make me question the sanity of the programmers. And the survival of the human race.
It used to be that every web developer eventually wrote their own blogging engine. I believe that Bug Trackers are becoming the new blogs.
It is five A.M. and the kid next door is desperately trying to convince his Volkswagon Golf to run for longer than thirty seconds at a time.

Failed Cringely Promises: 2002: Baby Monitor, 2004: Tsunami Warning System, 2006: Bob's Disk Drive, 2006: NerdTV 2.0, 2008: A Lunar Landing?

CakePHP has made a lot of progress in the last 6 months (or they just got around to fully documenting 1.2). I almost wish I could stand PHP.
"If the primary key … for a model is defined as char(36), CakePHP will automatically create a UUID to use for that field on creation." Nice. ...
And it goes without saying that every single text editor sucks, excepting TextMate, BBEdit, emacs, and vi. Because, let's face it, they do.
Tweaked my copy of TextMate's Python bundle to properly recognize the != operator. TextMate's Bundles > BBEdit's Language Modules. IMHO
Why yes, randomly generated spam e-mail, I _am_, in fact, a proud man with huge dignity. Thank-you very much for recognizing that about me.
Page 28 of the June 2008 Mac|Life magazine claims the numeric keypad module of the Apple Adjustable Keyboard didn't really exist. Pathetic.
When did Apple start selling the Mac Pro RAID Card as an after-market upgrade? This makes me a whole lot happier. Mmm.... hardware RAID 5.
