  1. @Fractality Not sure really -- probably are some, but I haven't checked. I just look for somebody who's a student...
  2. @Fractality Either an ACM membership ($198) or you can access them from universities (I usually just ask people on IRC to grab them)
  3. Literally been coding for 21 hours straight. I'm almost past being tired enough that I may make it to hang out with @janl and crew after all
  4. So, it's official. Heroku is pretty much the coolest thing since sliced bread. Also, I'm slowly becoming a Ruby weenie.
  5. It's cool seeing Peter Norvig turn up on Hacker News: http://bit.ly/F2wtE Looking forward to the new edition of his classic AI book.
  6. @pjozefak Hmm, that doesn't look like Hamburg. :-) New Zealand?
  7. @pjozefak This is one that I caught from my window about a year back, one of my favorites: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/364...
  8. Such an OCD evening. I've been writing loads of manual layout code in Javascript to get *just the right* positioning of dynamic elements.
  9. Fighting with Safari JS bugs at the moment and not looking forward to the trial-by-fire when I move on to IE.
  10. @AnthonyBarba Sure, sounds like a plan. Just ping me when you're back in old europe. :-)
  11. Whew, good meeting this morning and much planning done afterwards. Pulled me out of my tunnel vision some. :-)
  12. @celestelynpaul So you thought to yourself, "Dude, where's my car?"
  13. I've written code in Ruby, PHP, Javascript, C++ and Java in the last 4 hours. This is getting a little confusing.
  14. Really good writeup from Slava of RethinkDB on the YC interview process: http://bit.ly/1Ba3S4
  15. @AnthonyBarba Howdy - thanks for the shout out, Berlin massif and all. :-) Think I met your co-founder (?) ages back at Seedcamp Berlin.
  16. @getrealordie Sounds good. The progress so far is really great. It's cool seeing the features fill out, but still with a sane interface. :-)
  17. @Fractality @janl We use blueprint on our homepage, but the thing I was doing was more ... fine-grained. In retrospect, tables were correct.
  18. @albertwenger Wait, I'd heard that replacing all of the useful navigation on your site with just a search bar was the next big thing? ;-)
  19. The worst thing about being a founder is that the difference between weekends and the week is minimal. That's also the best thing.
  20. @mattwensing Yeah, I futzed around with CSS for like 10 minutes ... and then 10 minutes later I had it looking great with tables. ;-)
