  1. @wbruce Nice motion blur background on your nighttime tractor shot.
  2. @damon Might have been a phishing email trying to solicit your pasword. I see many of those for sites I don't even have an account with.
  3. Hartmut Neven researches machine learning with quantum algorithms: http://bit.ly/8ALnTO Some of his introductory talks: http://bit.ly/4IJOZO
  4. Glad to see public http://etherpad.com service temporarily restored after yesterday's Google acquisition announcement.
  5. @sanity I'm sad to see EtherPad go, too. There aren't many online services that are as focused and frictionless.
  6. @cwood Thanks for keeping me current on German-language movies ;-) This one apparently is considered an Austrian movie and won an oscar.
  7. @wbruce Would love to join you at @bennucoffee tonight but unfortunately I won't be able to make it.
  8. @scottdolson1 I'm sure there is a lot of link crawling activity on Twitter for services like http://backtweets.com/ and others
  9. @scottdolson1 Google Analytics uses a JavaScript page tag. It won't get triggered by a crawler or a user with JS disabled (e.g. NoScript FF)
  10. @elawless You might want to check out the "Stats 202" lectures given at Google. Good R intro. Videos on YouTube. http://www.stats202.com/
  11. @JTKeating Thanks for the mention.
  12. @elawless Cool, which R book did you get? Crawley? Verzani?
  13. @cwood If we would like to brush up your German, we should catch over lunch in the near future.
  14. @johnpeltier Good to run into you, too. Was glad to have tracked down the new Gingerman location.
  15. On way to Austin's first ProductPotluck event. Looking forward to catching up with fellow product managers. http://bit.ly/20bCZ7 #ppa09
  16. @wbruce Congrats! That's certainly exciting. Looks like @reductivelabs has recently attracted much talent formerly based out of Austin ;-)
  17. Reading RAMCloud survey paper by Ousterhout et al. Engaging discussion of future large scale web app architectures http://j.mp/2kfJTv
  18. Fascinating visualization by National Geographic covering 50 years of space exploration: http://bit.ly/9sP57
  19. @mperham I've learned to appreciate game days — empty streets make shopping, dining and other activities so much more enjoyable.
  20. @sanity Nice performance numbers! What type of hardware is it running on? I assume it isn't your notebook ;-)
