  14. @SQLDBA We are going to do RAID 10 for all the drives. I am very nervous about the long term reliability.
  15. @bflippin On the important dbs, we will use mirroring, we tried a clustering solution but could not keep the shared storage stable
  16. @SQLChicken @mrdenny They were all on loan & the vendors sent engineers to them up, but after 3 months I gave up & shut the project down
  17. @SQLDBA We're still testing but I think we are leaning toward the Intels
  18. @mrdenny and after having 4 different SANs break in lesss 6 weeks, I don't trust them any longer
  19. @mrdenny local SSD storage is much cheaper than buying a new SAN to give us the IOPS we need to consolidate.
  20. I should be excited. We have decided to use all SDD in new sql servers, but I can't help this feeling of dread in the bit of my stomach.
