  1. Wow, in roughly a week Aion was able to sell 970,000 copies for NCSoft. Happy to see an MMO do well (fun game too) http://bit.ly/3I6w3R
  2. @PaoloPace Yeah, when thinking about casual games, PopCap games are my favorite. Plants Vs Zombies ftw :D
  3. @PaoloPace Haha..I hope so! If the game industry is going to go that way, I hope people are at least doing cool and industry stuff....
  4. @KieranO @SebHayes Congrats on the new funding guys, I wish you luck!
  5. [QforQ.com] My random thoughts/speculations on the impact of the EA announcement(s) (is it a sign of the times?) http://bit.ly/3g8fKE
  6. @XanderSliwinski Yeah, but I'd like to ponder what *may* happen.
  7. Lots of ideas/thoughts going through my head about the impact of EA's layoffs and Playfish acquisition. Writing blog post now...
  8. @Scapes Awesome! Hopefully I'll run into that next week at Boston and Seattle airports :)
  9. @MajorNelson Pretty obvious ad from Xbox/Activision, but funny Onion video regardless :)
  10. From all the EA stuff that went down yesterday...I'm wondering what titles will be canceled by EA. Any thoughts/guesses?
  11. @Torinir I know
  12. @Torinir I think this is the beginning of many changes to multiplayer PC gaming. Should be interesting to see how it evolves
  13. @Torinir That doesn't make sense logically, since Kotick is in the business of making money from gamers.
  14. @Torinir I agree. I love mods..one of my favorite games for the past couple years has been the HL2 mod "Insurgency" :)
  15. @Torinir I think a bit of this is a reflection of the progression of multiplayer shooter design and as modders are hired by devs.
  16. @Torinir A dev is obviously going to respond to what their community likes/wants, but I don't believe they "steal" most features from mods.
  17. @Torinir I think modders can be inspiration, but they aren't "the source of ideas". There are a lot of smart/creative ppl at these studios
  18. @DMZilla It's a bummer that they didn't partner with Energizer or something (like Harmonix did with Rock Band games) for those batteries
  19. @Torinir Yeah, I read that...yet I still think sending a DMCA notice is too much and just a dick move...no real good/point
  20. A PC modder gave a DMCA notice to YouTube and they took down 1 of Infinity Ward's #MW2 vids: http://bit.ly/2cXsAB Kinda rough/too much imo!
