  1. @sduskis and rel type is a meta identifier [2/2]
  2. @sduskis sure, and that would require more identifiers exchanged at runtime to trigger code that understands those identifiers [1/2]
  3. @sduskis not just that - code also needs to know req/resp media types, auth/security requirements, URI lifetime etc.
  4. @sduskis from the semantics explained in docs, such as rel="blah" needs method PUT with media type "xyz". IOW, code already knows about them
  5. @sduskis the runtime just needs identifiers (media types and rels) to map to known semantics
  6. @obelix74 If you like underwater photography, watch "Encounters at the End of the World" on DVD. There is a long segment.
  7. @streams that's excellent time. Congrats.
  8. Second draft of RESTful Web Services Cookbook now on Safari Online - http://bit.ly/1ixNCM
  9. @dret actually, @fielding uses "decentralized" only twice in his thesis, but neither in ch05.
  10. Am going to stay off the twitter for a while. Bye bye.
  11. @dehora not sure I follow. How can a client make petf tradeoffs based on the server's format?
  12. Dumb heads!
  13. Jogging is boring. Jogging in the rain? - No way!
  14. "The collective monthly active users counts for all the hacked apps totaled 218 million." http://bit.ly/18YXbI - what a shame!
  15. @surya_s will email.
  16. @surya_s Using POST does not mean tunneling. Tunneling happens when you hide things from the protocol. Try POST with a distinct URI.
  17. @svrc it is the same in Continental too. I had a chance to watch a boot take too long and fail :)
  18. @surya_s That is a good question. Think of any case where client has to explain why the resource needs to be DELETEd. This is not uncommon.
  19. Particularly "Gracias A La Vida" - heard it on public radio last night.
  20. I wish I can understand this language - http://tinyurl.com/yj7rqtr
