  1. The early church was expectant...even desparate for something supernatural to take place.
  2. Preached from Acts 1-2 this past Sunday. What can we learn from the early church?
  3. Had our first set of baptisms at Ventura Beach this weekend among family and friends. Cold but wonderful!
  4. Somedays the narrow path seems narrower then others.
  5. I think that at the heart of the 'Golden Rule' is to see the goodness in others and hope they in turn see the goodness in you.
  6. It sucks to have to be good to people that suck...but sometimes I suck and need people to give me the benefit of the doubt.
  7. So now a narrow path paraphrase of the 'Golden Rule': ''Do good to others, even when they sucketh.''
  8. Or...''Do whatever is best for YOU, and try not to hurt others in the process.''
  9. A wide path twist on the 'Golden Rule': ''Do whatever you need to others, they'll get over it.''
  10. Great Sunday morning discussion yesterday on Matthew 7:7-11. The struggle of walking the narrow path.
  11. God is found in silence and solitude (Psalm 47:10).
  12. So...now a word on 'knocking' (Matt. 7:7). What to do when your knocking turns into pounding. Like red knuckle, bloody pounding!
  13. God is also found in our pain (Psalm 34:18).
  14. We seek God and He delights in being found...in creation (Psalm 19).
  15. According to scripture, God hides in places where only the ernest will find Him (Deut. 4:29, Acts 17:27).
  16. So is seeking God like some cosmic game of 'Hide-N- Go Seek?'
  17. I find confidence to ask of the Lord through His Word (Psalm 5:1-3).
  18. Ask...seek...knock. Sometimes prayer takes a little persistence.
  19. This mornings text for discussion: Matt 7:7-14. Hmmm...
  20. Sitting at home alone tonight, and opted to read a good book and try to converse with God instead of flip on the TV to fill the silence.
