  8. Icecream was 80% off about 3 hours into the power outage. The only thing blinking in there was the cash registers — rest was dark!
  9. Power is back after 7 hour outage, there goes 4lt of milk. Safeway is giving away cheap icecream in my area.

  15. Does anyone know why Twitter decided that 140 is the bound? Was there an experiment/study or was it pulled out of thin air then justified?
  16. @nedlud It is an idea that is worth some serious consideration, esp. since the purpose of ze estimate/plan is to think though the problem.
  17. @ratfink88 Indeed a dodgy approach in Java7. Sadly, it will take a decade to impact in real-world. Considering generics is just getting used
  18. First class methods & control abstraction in Java 7 will reduce boiler-plate code, sadly makes it harder to learn language for newbs
