  1. finished a restaurant cookbook and will be experimenting with salmon mousse and roquefort mousse this weekend!
  2. is reading Karen MacNeil's Wine Bible and planning parties in my head!
  3. I mistakenly opened a 10-year-old Bordeaux from the Haut-Medoc tonight, thinking it was a wine-of-the-month selection. I won't say sorry :)
  4. had a great time this evening at McShane's Nursery and Landscaping - many thanks to the McShane's team for a great party!!!!
  5. wishes she had 48-hour days to get all of her activities done. I won't die of boredom.
  6. is remembering one of her wonderful art history teachers from Cass Tech - Irving Berg.
  7. is filling out a marketing questionnaire for the American Library Association to help publicize the book I've contributed to.
  8. worked on a new book review and made steamed mussels for lunch.
  9. drove thru rain & mud to do Cowboy Storytime in KIng City & did kiddy crafts for children at Carmel Valley's Wine & Art Fiesta on 6/13. whew
  10. convinced 12 boys to do cowboy storytime instead of play soccer for an hour.
  11. enjoyed reading Voice of Youth Advocates magazine tonight esp. the article on the New Literacy Equation: Books + Computers = multiplatform.
  12. is in American Libraries magazine http://www.ala.org/ala/alon... & loves Monterey County esp.in summer!
  13. Now I'm off to a week of Cowboy and Cowgirl Storytimes throughout Monterey County.
  14. did four presentations on Japan for kindergarteners up to eighth graders in south, south Monterey County. Summer reading 2009 is great!
  15. got all her work done - finally. I'm excited that summer reading got its first article in the Californian, too!! Not that I check....:)
  16. is writing names in katakana for her Japan presentation on Monday - I see light at the end of the tunnel.
  17. is having fun preparing her all-ages program on Japan for presentation in south, south Monterey County as part of summer reading!!!
  18. went to work early and had fun getting projects done. Now I'm reading a book on the Founding "Brothers" of the United States.
  19. tried out her cowoby hat and bandana for cowboy storytimes, finished the tween book on Reconstruction after the Civil War & is rdg a mag now
  20. is now reading a book about Reconstruction after the Civil War for tweens - I really enjoy historical fiction written for youth.
