  1. @ericmblog You can call them Fred & Ethel right now. No official names yet. Besides, what's in a name? Would that which we call . . .
  2. We are still looking at possibly doing follow-on test flights like Ares I-X (II-X and III-X?).
  3. It is also nice to see Arsenal in the top 3 of the Premiership w/Liverpool coming up on Saturday. Always a tough match.
  4. I'm NOT bragging, but it is very nice that Georgia Tech won against Clemson on Sat night. I didn't lose my voice for nothing...
  5. Prpeparing to discuss Ares I-X Lessons we (hopefully) learned with HQ. We want to see what we can "teach" NASA about fast missions.
  6. @jsalsman Of course we CAN colaborate with the Russians (I've been there), but those are political decisions, i.e. out of NASA's control.
  7. If you miss it, I'll try to post a few tweets with the more interesting points.
  8. Don't forget the Ares I-X flight data news conference today at 2:00 Rocket Time with Bob Ess and Marshall "The Man" Smith.
  9. I'm looking at innovative ways to make more tests happen. Lots of creative juggling will be required. Back to work for me...
  10. While our technology is impressive, it still comes down to people making this stuff happen.
  11. You knw wha I love about this? It's people discussing and imagining and thinking, not machines or computers. There is no formula for this.
  12. Philosophically, it's a no-brainer: Sure, let's do more. As you can imagine, it's not that simple.
  13. Lots of good discussion today by the technical community (I always love that phrase) about how and/or why to do more Ares test flights.
  14. SO: Since Oct 31, 2000, the ISS has had at least 2 crew members. Let's keep humans in space forever.
  15. ...This was in the aftermath of the Columbia tragedy.
  16. I stand corrected: From April 2003 (Expedition 7) to July 2006 (Expedition 13), the ISS had only a two person crew...
  17. So y'all chill and watch Bob on Thursday!
  18. There is some cool stuff, but I don't want to steal Bob's "thunder"
  19. On THursday, Mission Manager Bob Ess is going to discuss some of the data we collected during the Ares I-X flight...
  20. I love how the team consistently makes it look so easy. And welcome home to Astro_Nicole. Get yourself some turkey.
