  1. Not much news, folks. There's a bunch of things to do before the release.
  2. I'm on Famitracker! I composed my first music, a remix from an old brazilian TV comedy, known as "Chico Anysio Show" - opening theme.
  3. It's faster after some optimizations, but not faster enough. With sound disabled, it does 46.5FPS in my AMD Duron 1ghz full screen 640x480.
  4. The forum is down. Go figure, I have no clue. -_-;;
  5. The Allegro' stretched blit is 20% faster than my custom code. Well, the image hasn't a fine quality, but it's worth for "poor" CPUs. ^_^;;
  6. I tested RockNES in a CPU AMD Duron 1.1ghz and 256mb of RAM. Average: 35FPS using stretching blit, and 55FPS using the default blitter. Bad.
  7. A last minute bug for RockNES 5.02 has been fixed. Please, redownload it. Sorry. -_-;;
  8. I'm doing some code optimizations in order to improve the emulation performance.
  9. Fixed MMC5, for CastleVania 3. Works good.
  10. Fixed the CastleVania3 GFX. Now, it's the IRQ... argh. Well, RockNES *had* support for mapper 5, but I took it out due to a rewrite I guess.
  11. Working ALL the day on RockNES. CastleVania 3 (USA) is booting!
  12. A few sound fixes and partial rewwrite. It's playing good, rarely skips. ^_^~
  13. There's a deadlock problem in 5.00, plus sound skips. As reported above, 5.01 seems to be fine. I'm still testing it for possible deadlocks.
  14. I tried new stuff: Allegro 4.4.0 (SVN version), gcc 4.4.0 (MinGW32) and could fix a few unreported bugs by the old gcc.
  15. RockNES 5.00 has been released. I'm waiting for your feedback. Currently, I'm writing a doc to describe the savestate format.
  16. The release date is tomorrow, July 10th 2009.
  17. More fixes: palettes, GUI cosmetic changes and small tidbits.... ^_^;;;
  18. Added 32bit color mode. Now, you can load a custom palette file (.pal), thanks to Franpa for the suggestion. 96Khz is the best for sound.
  19. I'm happy regarding the number of visitors on RockNES website. ^_^;; Thanks.
  20. Usual tweaks, nothing big. I didn't think about the 32bit color mode instead of 16bit (current).
