  3. Crossed into Washington ... less than 500 miles to go.
  4. Yesterday set knew PR. Went 38.4 miles in under 13 hours. 3 mph with breaks.
  5. 2000 miles. 4 million steps and counting!
  6. Pain is temporary (I hope). Glory is forever. 43.0 miles today in 16.5 hours carrying 40 lb pack. Watched sun come up and go down.
  7. Passed into Oregon a few hours ago. 1700+ miles behind in CA. Thanks CA for the memories!

  11. Taking 3 day break in lake tahoe. Just did hardest push yet - 108 miles in 82 hours. At mile 1120.
  12. Just got coverage after 12 days of high sierra bliss. Wish I had taken my ice axe. At mile 880.
  13. Arrived atop the U.S. at 10:15 - 14,496 ft - Mt. Whitney. Can see forever.

  15. Running the ridge - 30 miles before Whitney. Have coverage into desert!!!!
  16. Yesterday was big day! 31 miles in 13.5 hours. Passed 600 miles. Saw 2 bears.
  17. Walked next to I58 for a mile -amazed at how many truckers honked and gave thumbs up!
  18. Desert had last say. Last 4 miles have been like climbing sleeping bear sand dunes 8 times.
  19. Climbing into Tehachapi Mts. Won't be below 5000' again for many weeks in nor cal.
  20. Leaving the desert for the last time this morning. I got lucky and hit the Mojave in a weird cold spell.
