  1. @pragmaticandy No problem. Keep up the good work :)
  2. @IanMLewis Excuse my ignorance but what is a generic relation? A polymorphic relation? (e.g. resource_id referring to lots of diff. tables?)
  3. @IanMLewis I never understood why they had to make their own #orm when there are much better ones in #python IMHO.
  4. Noticing #textmate makes nice reports out of FIXMEs in code, I've started to increase the number of FIXMEs. Is this a good thing? :)
  5. @lhuga 奇麗だよ〜!
  6. It's snowing here in London! Majestic! #uksnow EC2A 2/10
  7. I too find these Intel ads hilarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqLPHrCQr2I
  8. @maymaym this git book looks pretty awesome as an intermediate book, what do you think? @igrigorik seems to like it :) http://bit.ly/64iQ44
  9. The #python #orm #axiom has a find_or_create method, which is nice. #activerecord doesn't but I could monkeypatch if I really want one.
  10. 'raise "oh shit!" if study.nil?' is probably not good programming practice
  11. I liken learning #tdd properly first like kung fu movies where the master forces the student to train until they are ready to kick ass...
  12. @lchin Nice. Thanks.
  13. @uploada Tell you what.. if this #singularity does happen, I'll buy you a beer. But I'm not holding my breath.
  14. I'm missing named arguments for methods from #python in #ruby. Sure, there's the options hash, but it's not as succinct.
  15. @gbboy You're French and you just discovered this little tidbit of information? :)
  16. if the "new blog post" tweets are annoying, I'll stop doing it. I just haven't been using my blog until now :)
  17. New blog post: test first, or you probably won't get around to it :) http://bit.ly/4YuJ0T
  18. @damana A good candidate for a business analyst is be someone who likes to waffle, produce needless documentation and spend a lot on lunch.
  19. @wycats Maybe it's a quantumbug, and it'll work fine if you run it while you are out?
  20. @yoichiro ... and they are? :)
