  1. Happy independence day to all you Americans!
  2. Outlook 2007 just restarted itself automatically to recover from some error condition. Good autohealing approach though not failing better.
  3. @s_constantine Cry. Only possible conclusion. That's just plain weird. Have they tried it? No...
  4. Anyone intending to come to MoMo Edinburgh on Monday that has not signed up, please let Ben know.
  5. @7dayshop Is it possible to get ETA for new stock for Kood nd8 67mm filter? thanks - just had super delivery on last order - great service
  6. @register_com - getting SMTP error "Server configuration error" when sending to e-mail hosted with you. Second time on same message.
  7. @weblivz You'd have been glad you did if you'd been here mid afternoon - it was torrential.
  8. @weblivz Well, we have! Maybe they can't tell the difference between places in Scotland!
  9. @davidcushman Have one for me, please, David!
  10. @Register_com The Lite option vanished sometime in the last two days. How about reducing the vastly bloated libraries that are loaded?
  11. Ploughing through backlogs of patent application paper. Struck by how Victorian the whole process is, as usual, and how search unfriendly.
  12. And now we have some watery sunshine; very dilute. How about some blue skies and real sun?
  13. And now the rain is TIPPING down in Edinburgh! What is happening this year?
  14. @Register_com e-mails I've sent yesterday and today are still not showing up in my wife's register.com e-mail. Rest mostly working ok, slow.
  15. @blonde20 (more meetings and family!) I guess it depends on how well the UI is integrated into the system - you're right that bolt ons fail.
  16. @blonde20 And come to think of it, I just deinstalled a Dell thing that was like the Apple Dock.
  17. @blonde20 Re: differentiating Windows (been in meeting) - in the days on Win3.1 hardware provided addons for the UI as it was pretty basic.
  18. @blonde20 ... and is there a trade off between short-term sales sex appeal and long term usability? Does the glitz slow the device down?
  19. @blonde20 Thought provoking question - differentiating Windows didn't help PC makers; will this help phone makers?
  20. @technokitten Cool - nothing quite like good wellies. Very satisfying to squelch about in the mud in them. Enjoy!
