  10. Attending Chinese Orchestra Concert in UPM. Hall full of audience.
  11. Just watched Green Zone. Good to have such movies which tell the truth, or at least tell the other side of story.
  12. Interested to acquire the speaking/presentation skills of tour guides. Speak on anything, anytime, anywhere, under any circumstances!
  13. Thanks for inviting me to as "tourist". It's been eye-opening study trip. Listening to instructor on presentation skills especially useful
  14. 5. JOB SKILLS - Other "technical skills" in the profession, such as arranging schedule, managing crowd and preparing materials.
  15. 4. PEOPLE - Relate to tourists and people well. Social and people skills. Should need outgoing, extrovert, pleasant, interesting personality
  16. 3. SPEECH - To present in interesting way. And the environment is not classroom silent, but noisy out in the field. It's real test
  17. 1. KNOWLEDGE - Tour guides are like walking dictionary and wikipedia. They need to be able to answer and elaborate any topic tourists raise
  18. I'm not interested to be a tour guide, but very interested to acquire skills as a tour guide. I see at least 5 criteria as good tour guide
  19. Really not easy to speak on a topic spontaneously. But good experience hearing them and their instructor's feedback. Today worth the trip
  20. They did fairly well, especially with the top three speakers - Kee (education tourism), Rose (shopping) and Lewis (Malaysia My 2nd Home)
