  1. Any Rolando2 players out there? My daughter has played all levels on two islands, and is convinced there are more islands. Are there?
  2. New 1.5TB drive now set up as Time Machine backup drive. Creating backups locally first, so that it won't take days to get them all done
  3. Went to Best Buy @ 5:45am. Found items (1.5TB FW drive; LCD frame) in 2 mins; checkout took 39 mins. Saw 1 tent outside, too!
  4. @jsnell Les and WKRP FTW!
  5. @kvanh I think iTunes X 1.1.1 was one of the first OS X versions of iTunes :)
  6. Wow. I have 1,647 songs that were encoded with iTunes X 1.1.1.
  7. @dmbarlow Yes, Cmd-Tab all the time, and Butler to launch and work with pop-up folders that would otherwise be in the dock
  8. @dmbarlow Well, I very rarely use the dock, so it's size is irrelevant. I keep it very small, and I close windows in apps I'm not using
  9. @dmbarlow With limited resources, your method makes perfect sense, and is close to how I use my MBP. On MP, though, leaving them open=faster
  10. Two hint submissions today on using the Command key to rearrange the menu bar icons. Did I wake up in September of 2000 again?
  11. @atlauren Sadly, Apple disabled that hack long before Snow Leopard came out. There is no decent workaround other than buying Remote Desktop
  12. Just had a haircut that was so brutal I thought about asking the stylist if she'd rather pull out the hair by hand, so it would hurt less
  13. I think a set of these would look great on the minivan, wouldn't they? http://tr.im/FwxL (and yes, I'm kidding!)
  14. @dmoren Simply describing a well-optioned Starbuck's drink ought to get you 1,100 words or so!
  15. @tedlandau Not necessarily, was just looking. We have a large living room, though, and our current set is 57" (and nine years old and dying)
  16. Amazon helpfully notes that when ordering a 65" HDTV: "If sending as a gift, note that contents cannot be concealed." What, no gift wrap?
  17. imac
  18. i7 imac
  19. @khoi_tran In the short term, proper positioning, and soon, I imagine there will be anti-glare covers for it. Not perfect but workable
  20. @Jaddie You can put 16GB of RAM in the new iMac. As for eSata, FW800 is going to meet the needs of all but a few users.
