  1. @M0t0rBreath Interesting link, thanks!
  2. RT @M0t0rBreath Swiss Study Documents War Crimes Committed in 19 Games including Battlefield Bad Company 1 http://tinyurl.com/ybl6atu
  3. @TonyAlbrecht Agreed. Interesting that it appears to be a common industry-wide problem, UI code that is.
  4. @ivanassen But agree that mode 13h is still a much easier & better start :)
  5. @ivanassen That is old-school GPGPU, forget about it. The newer Compute APIs such as DirectCompute are _much_ better & clean
  6. @meshula @TimothFarrar Many core programming & HW concepts are much more simple & focused at such a level as well. KISS ftw
  7. @meshula How eloquently and truthfully put! :)
  8. @hellbent @GordonVanDyke We will investigate, it isn't supposed to be that overexposed
  9. @pekhe Both
  10. PC Gaming Hardware Forecast Increase 30% and to Reach $27 Billion in 2010 http://bit.ly/4n5cKA (more recent than last I sent) via @sheldorn
  11. @xDirtyPunkx Yeah and we keep changing UI at a whim every other month or so it feels like, doesn't help the situation either
  12. @afterwise Ooh haven't thought of that magic solution, that must an even cooler way of doing it!
  13. @slicedlime Fully agree. Although not top coders as in topcoder.com :)
  14. @TheGameexe I don't have any information on the BC2 PC Beta, @OfficialBFBC2 will have later
  15. @ivanassen No the jobs here are just a waste and complicates everything, and doesn't run on the SPUs. Need a cleaner & more simple structure
  16. @ivanassen Ours is a monster now as well, uses 5 jobs and process both current & previous frame simultaneously somehow. Trying to slay it
  17. @nonchaotic That is definitely common unfortunately, combined with that often no one really cares and owns that code fully
  18. @Demize99 No clear ownership is definitely one part of it. But still, it is very simple work if just someone cared about it
  19. @sravan953 Yup
  20. I have a small suspicion that Pidgin IM app is leaking memory. 1.8 GB allocated memory after a few days doesn't seem sane :)
