  2. Soften your gaze. Let your eyes relax back in their sockets. Your whole body will relax.
  3. Put yourself on your action list or schedule. Even 20 minutes for something you’ve been craving or needing will have impact.
  4. Post your values or vision or purpose where you’ll see them. Let them fuel you.
  5. Wink at someone. You’ll know when it’s not harassment. Do it then.
  6. Take it in. Next time someone thanks, acknowledges, or compliments you, let it feed you. Really take it in.
  7. Take initiative. Doing something valuable-but-not-urgent will energize and inspire you and others, too.
  8. Need stuff. We know, you take pride in not needing much. Experiment by saying “What I need now is…” Over and over. Act on it.
  9. Get Natural: Feed your plants. Look at the trees. Take a walk. Listen to a fountain. Drink a glass of water: Remember where it came from?
  10. You skipped over a victory. What was it? Celebrate and ask others to join you. Where did you put that party hat?
  11. Pull back. Take 10 minutes to think about your deeper reasons for the work you do. That sense of purpose will fuel you.
  12. Embrace the roadblock. Every time we make a change, our resolve is tested. Notice the sticking place. Appreciate it. Keep going.
  13. Tired? Be tired. Don’t judge it. Just respond: rest a little. You’ll be more productive than if you pushed through.
  14. Take it outside. What meeting or conversation could happen outside today? It’ll be better in the fresh air, even under an umbrella.
  15. Eat something seasonal. Fresh summer fruit or deep winter roots, eating a seasonal snack or meal grounds and nourishes.
  16. Refresh your desk. It, like all desks, is a magnet for unnecessary objects and stuck energy. Move that stuff out now.
  17. Get 5 pilates sessions. Retrain your brain and body to stand, sit, and walk. You’ll feel better all day every day.
  18. Lighten up. We all take things too seriously. Add a sense of humor. Lower standards. Chill.
  19. Where are your shoulders? Closer to your ears than is optimally relaxing? Go on, let ‘em down. Hey! Relax your belly while you’re at it.
  20. Think back to a time you laughed really, really hard. Notice how that puts a smile on your face. When can you laugh that hard again?
