I'm a total sucker for health gadgetry. (I already track nutrition/exercise/etc). So a $50 sleep-pattern-graph-generating device? Sold!

Logged into Wave for the first time in a bit. Still don't like the scrollbars; I know they're "better," just feel slow and awkward to me.

I hereby dub the area with the framed software patent "The Hallway of Ire."

My company framed a software patent and hung it on the wall. Is this common practice?

So, every Olympics 2 team fencing events are not held. For 2012 it's Men's epee and Women's saber.

Fencing has 3 weapons, individual / team for each, and 2 genders = 12 categories. But IOC allocates only 10 medals to fencing.

I take *one* day off from work, and everyone goes around adding closures to Java. Jeez.

Prediction: Java closures will be like real closures, except critically flawed in some way related to backwards compatibility.

Why reddit at work is bad: you can see a "Technoviking's Grandma" link and feel you shouldn't watch it at work but OMG I MUST SEE THAT.

Prediction: in the future, we'll look at manual unit testing the same way we look at manual memory management now.
