  1. I'm a total sucker for health gadgetry. (I already track nutrition/exercise/etc). So a $50 sleep-pattern-graph-generating device? Sold!
  2. I plan on buying this: http://www.techcrunch.com/2...
  3. That said, some of the other Wave clunkiness I remember seems to be gone. Go Wave team go!
  4. Logged into Wave for the first time in a bit. Still don't like the scrollbars; I know they're "better," just feel slow and awkward to me.
  5. I hereby dub the area with the framed software patent "The Hallway of Ire."
  6. My company framed a software patent and hung it on the wall. Is this common practice?
  7. All I can think when I see this: What happens if there's a bug in that software? http://bit.ly/30Busf
  8. In conclusion... it's totally lame that the IOC won't give fencing two more medal events.
  9. So, every Olympics 2 team fencing events are not held. For 2012 it's Men's epee and Women's saber. http://tinyurl.com/yh5cxcd
  10. Fencing has 3 weapons, individual / team for each, and 2 genders = 12 categories. But IOC allocates only 10 medals to fencing.
  11. Fire alarms going off = stairwell door closed = blessed reprieve from terrible stairwell music.
  12. WTF of the day: Working with a non-programmer to resolve a problem, ask for one log file, and get email: "I don't see how that will help."
  13. RT @burke_eric: Poke the Bear, a new Twittch comic. http://bit.ly/gHJPI Me: If I'm ever at a protest, that's totally what my sign will say.
  14. RT @niffrig: Found footage: Video Dating http://bit.ly/1A9gM8 Typical research mathematician FTW!
  15. I take *one* day off from work, and everyone goes around adding closures to Java. Jeez.
  16. Prediction: Java closures will be like real closures, except critically flawed in some way related to backwards compatibility.
  17. All work and no play makes Rob something something... (think I'll take tomorrow off).
  18. @niffrig Turns out she's not dressed as a viking, so they can't be related. Yak theory: intact. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
  19. Why reddit at work is bad: you can see a "Technoviking's Grandma" link and feel you shouldn't watch it at work but OMG I MUST SEE THAT.
  20. Prediction: in the future, we'll look at manual unit testing the same way we look at manual memory management now.
