  1. Can't wait for #Eureka and #Torchwood episodes to start up again
  2. @ragtag Mom said something about that... wasn't sure if i was spreadsheets or something else :)
  3. Another one re: " Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it" - brain dead from looking at social metrics and survey data
  4. I'm thrilled with the demo from my summer intern's project on collecting activity metrics from multiple social tools... awesome job
  5. @rhetorica2 what color is blue?= RGB #0000FF. ;)
  6. Just found Alex Howard's article on Compliance concerns and E2.0 http://twurl.nl/bvauth #e2conf : was asking Qs in those same sessions
  7. @wkulhanek have a Budvar/Czechvar for me :)
  8. Reading Aberdeen Group's HR Exec's Guide to Web 2.0 by Mollie Lombardi and Jayson Saba Jun 09
  9. @blm849 yeah, I stopped programming much other than Java after that; never quite spent the time to learn python
  10. @rotkapchen there're plenty of UX engrs, just the previous surveys covered Web design/use mostly rather than social sw
  11. @blm849 the last serious Perl code I wrote was back in 1995/96 for complx web/CGI scripts; faster than writing C, Java wasn't there yet
  12. @blm849 oh yeah, you're right on there... APL something else to happily forget
  13. @rotkapchen agreed. I'm glad this year we're progressing to asking more detailed questions like what tasks they perform vs. just tools used
  14. @davidsinger local medical sw vendor up till 10 yrs ago still used MUMPS throughout; took forever for people to figure out what code meant
  15. @davidsinger I saw a PL/1 custom keyboard once.... lots of bizzare symbols to remember :)
  16. when so, I'm trying to figure out if the software has become so much a part of the system/workflow that they don't know that its social sw ?
  17. Interestingly enough some results from survey (what they say they do) may not match what they actually do (activity data)
  18. Still mulling over our worldwide internal survey on collab/social sw adoption - so much data, my minds spinning
  19. @davidsinger had the same exp w/ Ada for me similar to yours w/ PL/1 - No compilers, just code and nitpicking peers & profs
  20. @gentry right, with that size, you will likely end up with many subgroups and permutations of people collaborating for their own things
