  1. @rdonoghue I think the tricky part is that *experiencing* a mediocre story can be a great experience, but retold, it's still mediocre.
  2. @kensanata First BBS in 1986 at 18 yrs old, met my wife on the BBS she ran. 23 years online.
  3. @mshensley Could be worse. You could have to become a MS SharePoint expert in a week.
  4. I need a good adventurish/rpgish game for the Wii or GameCube. (Or someone could mail me a PS3 or Xbox 360, I'm not picky.)
  5. @gamehawk Most licenses on digital content don't allow for buying something as a gift. "It was a gift. He said he paid for it."
  6. @RobertsonGames I know three local owners here. Even the most successful is struggling, and the less successful has been much drama.
  7. @RobertsonGames Best advice? Don't. If he must, start with enough cash for a real salary and insurance. If he can't, don't.
  8. @quietlyscheming If you can possibly refuse that cute little girl the first piece, you're not human, man. :)
  9. @rdonoghue There's a lot of e-publishing being done in PDF by some who have no idea there are other options.
  10. @quietlyscheming Heh, heh.
  11. @kensanata I've thought about that... we've dealt with friends disappearing online to later find out they had died.
  12. @rdonoghue My current conversation has been "Do what your teacher's tell you without arguing. But question authority!" Confusing.
  13. @MickBradley I've been having the same problem... amazing images, but I haven't picked it up for two weeks. Probably time to move on.
  14. I think I may bite the bullet and do #NaNoWriMo this year. Gotta do something to jumpstart the fiction writing.
  15. @newbiedm Ouch.
  16. @rdonoghue "Then when they start to make up some excuse for not having one, hit them in the face (with your book)." Heh.
  17. @newbiedm I've heard stories of Walgreen's refusing to print "professional looking" photos because the photog couldn't prove he took them.
  18. @mshensley Thank you. Now if I can only get around to taking pictures for the next part.
  19. @kensanata You're the author of Oddmuse?
  20. @RobertsonGames Because they built it on Wordpress, which is entirely the wrong software for aggregation, and the CPU overhead is expensive.
