  1. Still giggling to myself about the #uwcse holiday skit... =)
  2. Homemade red curry, Taoism and early to bed... hate to skip Ignite but need some fester time! Teaching is wonderful but killing me.
  3. Student showed me a program and I thought "I never explained any of this!". Excited to see them learn on their own!!
  4. Students have written lots of cool programs including random waltz generator, caesar cipher encoder, name popularity grapher... so proud!
  5. @justinesherry that makes two of us! Thanks for the sweet tweet last night. Good point about TEENAGERS.:)
  6. @koos42 I don't know whether to feel comforted or overwhelmingly futile... see at T's in a bit?
  7. Wishing I had more confidence about my classes. Always worried students won't like what we do, will be bored, won't know what's going on...
  8. Just won $70 on a slot machine. Conference well worth it. Hope the students made progress while I was gone. Miss them. :/
  9. Superintendent Randy Dorn: "i believe every kid needs math skills but not that they need algebra 2". This guy speaks well.
  10. Just finished censoring Pirates of Silicon Valley for the sub. I feel dirty doing it but... thank you iMovie.
  11. @brickware *sigh* You're supposed to tell me it gets better...
  12. Pizza, red wine and course planning. One day I will come home and not have to work more.
  13. A million things I should be doing but I am drinking coffee and reading about Buddhism, damn it. The rest will wait.
  14. RIP Geocities. I was going to back up my high school website but realized that it disappearing was probably a great idea.
  15. @evaring Sorry, I was giving you post-primary endorsements that are no longer useful. Chin and Smith-Blum seem the most reasonable to me.
  16. @evaring I like Helmstetter in district 5 but not Smith-Blum. I like Charlie Mas in 7 and Chin seems reasonable too.
  17. The students wrote nice poems about programming that make grading more fun http://is.gd/4Bc5a http://is.gd/4Bc7k
  18. @obviousjim you and your always working on nifty stuff... :). Hope all is better than well. Kids still talking about you.
  19. @fredisawesome That's a very interesting proposal. You've probably noticed we don't use Python 3 because of exactly what the author states.
  20. @fredisawesome The security policy won't allow installing exes, but it may let you run something? Doubt it, but try and let me know!
