  1. Heavy rain now and at lunchtime; fortunately fine and dry while I was cycling to and from the office
  2. Back from Hannah's play - Beasts and Beauties. Stylistic, if just a little weird
  3. Cycled to work for the first time this year.
  4. Air Conditioning much better. Where did I put my sweater...
  5. Neat move. Force your customers to use your website, then take it down 10 hours for maintenance.
  6. Back in the office. Air conditioning still failed. :-(
  7. Got home from LOSUG last night to find Hannah had fallen off her bike - suspected fracture near the elbow.
  8. LOSUG attendance under threat - Air Conditioning failure in progress
  9. Trying to follow a twisted maze of symbolic links
  10. JKstat 0.29: http://www.petertribble.co.... includes a JavaFX example
  11. OK, so you can fool JavaFX into getting a typed array back from a Collection. Phew.
  12. JavaFX: not so neat. Interoperability with standard java collections and generics is essentially non-existent.
  13. JKstat + JavaFX is neat. I've got a JCpustateFX demo hacked together.
  14. So I can access JKstat from JavaFX - now to build some whizzy effects
  15. Trying to persuade JavaFX to load native libraries.
  16. Gack. Attempting to build software under RHEL is an even worse experience than under Solaris.
  17. Monkeying around with RHEL guests under xVM with a Solaris Express dom0
  18. Written my first javafx program. OK, so a blue box on a red background is a bit basic, but it's a start.
  19. Broadband is supposed to be megabits - I'm getting kilobits. Not sure where the bottleneck is.
  20. Oh good grief. Current desktop running VirtualBox 1.6 - time to upgrade to something a bit more modern.
