  1. RT @mikebutcher: So in the UK you get £71 off a MacBook Pro in Apple's Black Friday sale. In the US you get £182!
  2. @Eastmad Whoops, knew I forgot something. Just added it.
  3. (Psst! This week's @PodDelusion is available now... listen/download/subscribe at http://poddelusion.co.uk - includes @arianesherine!)
  4. Pod Delusion mixed down and done. Now I can relax. And panic instead about tomorrow.
  5. That's right Portillo, "FACTS" are a "totalitarian state". FFS. #thisweek
  6. @timidheathen I didn't think we had such a separation of powers here? Same could be said for Justic Sec having quasi-judicial powers
  7. Melanie Phillips criticizes the "irrationality" of others. Irony found dead in Edinburgh. #bbcqt
  8. So why has DaveDave still not caught on as a nickname for David Davies? #bbcqt
  9. @Mikeleighcooper Heh, that's why I asked - not even I have stats access yet!
  10. "Oh good, Melanie Phillips in on #bbcqt to talk some sense into the rest of the panel" #thingsthatwillneverbesaid
  11. @slummymummy1 Heh, then why not take issue with any one of the totalitarian states represented on the council?
  12. Should probably consider New Years Eve now rather than on New Years Eve at 6pm like last year. Anyone want to invite me to anything? (#hint)
  13. @slummymummy1 And lots of other non-state actors have observer status at the UN, eg, the EU, Arab League, and NGOs like the Red Cross etc.
  14. @slummymummy1 It may have a general assembly vote but that's not legally binding, and there's similar things (Tuvalu vs China population)
  15. @slummymummy1 Oh no, I agree the Catholic church is ultimately an evil organisation but the vatican's statehood isn't the source of power
  16. @slummymummy1 But.. how? If the Vatican were just part of Italy the Pope would still wield the same power and influence...
  17. @slummymummy1 A nation and state are different thing. Treaties, recongition and international law are what determines whether a state though
  18. @slummymummy1 Not in any real terms - the vatican's influence isn't due to state status, its because of Catholicism.
  19. @slummymummy1 I disagree- "nation state" is defined by the rules that you write-off. Arguing about the Vatican's role though is different..
  20. RT @richjm: Has anybody successfully sued Microsoft yet for plagiarism of their Windows 7 idea?
