  1. That's as good an excuse as any to plug the anthology featuring a short story by me, available for the Kindle: http://bit.ly/6Flxtl
  2. Thanks to @bufocalvin for mentioning my site on his blog devoted to the Amazon Kindle: http://bit.ly/8tClnS
  3. I think we should all take a moment to remember the fictional characters we lost in 2009: http://bit.ly/74WTYH (via @christydena)
  4. @KristineRusch They kid you not...luckily (?), I flew from Winnipeg to Chicago *just* before these rules were put in place.
  5. @kady Don't feel bad about it--this Canadian has exactly the same liveblogging preferences.
  6. Nevertheless, my Moratorium on New Reading Purchases lasted...oh, about a day and a half.
  7. On the flip side, I returned to the sad news in Winnipeg that one of two @mcnallyrobinson locations shut down whilst I was away.
  8. Visiting the bookstores in Chicago's Hyde Park soon leads to a vastly expanded Amazon Wishlist...
  9. A new year, the same old city...and no messages on my answering machine waiting for me when I got back. :/
  10. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it was altogether ooky.
  11. I just got back from The Addams Family, the new musical with Nathan Lane as Gomez, at the Oriental in Chicago. It was worth every penny.
  12. I'm meeting 2010 on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Happy New Year to everyone!
  13. The reaction (or lack thereof) from its recipients this time around will determine if I keep up the tradition in the new decade.
  14. I sent the first Sentiment email out just over ten years ago, making me especially pensive about this (now longstanding) online tradition.
  15. The Sentiment 2009 email has gone out, on schedule with the end-of-year maudlin feelings...
  16. I never got around to seeing 9, but I'll probably give Nine a try.
  17. (Actually, I promised I'd wait to see Sherlock Holmes in Chicago, so perhaps today would be a good day to finally see Avatar.)
  18. Sherlock Holmes apparently practices pugilism in the new movie...that would tie in well with Boxing Day, right?
  19. Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building & Loan!
  20. Once I've watched It's a Wonderful Life, the holiday will be complete (even if @kady would opt for a different movie choice :P).
