| probably no time to write tomorrow, with journal + correspondence to keep up with. tuesday = book club reading. but the story goes. |

| next coffeeshop! sarah drove us to Blue State on Thayer (still too hot to walk anywhere, but the storm is moving in) |

| this need to clear whole days is why I'm mostly on hiatus from fic. but I don't think one story every 3-4 months is unreasonable! |

| for all that, brunch was lovely, but where did my day go?!? I'm not ready to concede this afternoon. thinking I'll declare August NO PLANS. |

| eventually I went to The Edge + borrowed their phone to call (# in my laptop). there again now, but they're closing early! |

| attempting to drink my morning coffee in bed of course resulted in spilling it on both the sheets + the laptop (no harm done) |

| also yesterday: a jaunt through the Providence Indie Arts Fest, despite the heat, + a meltdown brought on by too much socializing. |

| found Dark Knight incomprehensible, both narratively + thematically. I expect a certain logic from an action movie. I was paying attention! |
