  1. The backlog of books I need to go through is mounting :-(
  2. Hm. There IS something to be said for getting away from it all. Who knew?
  3. @sayge Start with sites like ours (progressiveislam.org) and orgs like mpvusa.org. See if your area has a progressive group at meetup.org.
  4. Interviewing Kamran Pasha http://bit.ly/KfX52 soon. Ideas for questions?
  5. Just erased over fifty blog entries from the site for being pornspam. Perils of an open space. But seriously, pornspam on a religious site?
  6. @kutti U.S., I think. Since the U.N. isn't a single sovereign nation's territory, the overarching law of the land prevails/applies.
  7. @kutti the baby takes the nationality of the parents. If parents have different nationality, it depends on their respective nations' laws.
  8. I dreamt of clearing my reading backlog last night. Such a lovely dream.
  9. Jeez, is it book season? Two on the kindle, one prerelease for review in my mailbox, one more delivered via UPS.
  10. @NaahidJohnspoon Meh. Buried under a mountain of reading. Backlog's about four books long now.
  11. @ASLANmedia okay, I _swear_ it wasn't there yesterday! It's either that or I'm going blind at 33. Fed it to my Kindle. Kindle happy now.
  12. I dig this: http://bit.ly/C69xg
  13. It's like this; If it's not on iTunes or AmazonMP3, I'm deaf to it. If it's not on Kindle, I'm blind to it. Does not exist. Or compute.
  14. @ASLANmedia dude, why no Kindle edition? So much harder to review your book! What do you mean, what did I do before Kindle?
  15. @nytimeskristof Totally okay with that.
  16. Reza Aslan (http://tr.im/jcQF) and Juan Cole are after that (http://tr.im/jcQG). Hey, I'm only one man, doggone it!
  17. Next up: Sarah Chayes' book, "The Punishment of Virtue". http://tr.im/jcQr. So far, it's an engrossing read, if somewhat openly biased.
  18. Whew. Pasha review finally complete. http://tr.im/jcQ1
  19. @shonaArmstrong hey, sorry for the long delay in answering: emoji are special Japanese characters that render as funny images...
  20. Cripes, I really have to finish that Pasha review. @aslanmedia has a new one coming out next week. Weekend, you're gonna be inundated.
