  1. @glv because you're not using http://synergy2.sf.net, of course!
  2. @spullara they're just preparing for Carnival
  3. @rmisek I'm a fan of separate nav and phone devices for use in cars, personally. You can get a refurbished TomTom for < $100.
  4. @joshbloch presumably multiplication + bit-shifting is preferable when possible... did you see any numbers on that approach?
  5. @cbeust well, as a moon, Ganymede is clearly older than Galileo. But we didn't know about Ganymede until Galileo spotted it. Hmm.
  6. @AnnieLinskey what time do you need to be there?
  7. @akosma OTOH, it's worked well for MSFT for quite some time.
  8. 40% off all wines at http://sfmaverick.com on Mondays!
  9. Of course, that shoulda read "It's amazing how important showers *are* in my development process." Clearly, the writing process needs work.
  10. It's amazing how important showers in my development process.
  11. @crazybob @cbeust that'll tell you if o's class hierarchy defines toString(), not if o's class itself does. Not sure if that matters to you.
  12. @cbeust how about reflection? (check toString()'s declaring class.) Or bytecode processing, if you care that they don't just call super().
  13. @spullara so Paul's got you doing his testing for him, eh?
  14. What the Brits do while the US celebrates Thanksgiving: RT @tastapod: Ooh. Just starting on a 1999 Pauillac. Rather spiffy.
  15. @joshbloch was it another marathon?
  16. http://stackoverflow.com has become my first stop for C# programming questions. Thanks, @spolsky and @codinghorror!
  17. @bokmann so you've got two spindles now, or a spindle and an SSD?
  18. @spullara Do you have any tips about configuring things (spotlight, log files, etc.) so that they don't churn the SSD?
  19. @szegedi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egon_Spengler
  20. I'm hoping for the best of both worlds: startup disk + apps on SSD; content on spindle. Should mitigate the SSD rewrite issues.
