  9. That's a 16-mile round-trip with a 4,400' net elevation gain. This was probably the limit if my endurance. Pictures to follow......
  10. Diane, me and Randy (brother-in-law) hikes from Yosemite Valley to Half dome. Diane and I made it to the bottom of the "cables".
  11. Diane and I just spent 3 Day on Yosemite. We took my mom (84 yo) on a couple of 2.5 mile hikes - yay for her!
  12. Thurs I had surgery on my left hand and I'll be off work for a while. I can now do a lot with that hand, but I must keep the stitches dry.
  13. Went hiking yesterday with Diane, Sue and Mom (84 years old). 3.5 miles, easy hike, interesting wildflowers. Dinner and movie afterward.
  14. My Big Basin pictures are posted: http://pixseal.com/2009/200...
  15. Our Big Basin hike was hotter than we expected. 80° doesn't seem hot, except that there's about 2,000' elevation gain and 10 miles distance.
  16. Off this morning to Big Basin for a long hike in the redwoods.
  17. I've finished my Sunol pictures: http://tinyurl.com/cmowgr
  18. Before we got to Sunol, we drove Calaveras Rd. to see the bald eagle nest. There was 1 adult in the nest, probably incubating. No pix.
  19. Diane and I hiked today at Sunol Park. The weather was drippy and cool and the trails were muddy. The wildflowers were..wild. Pix to come.
