  1. In Manchester for United v Besiktas. Maybe Ferguson will show us some Old Trafford stars of the future.
  2. @willkingston Here we go. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport... I feel he has to finish top 4 this season.
  3. What now for Liverpool & Benitez. Here's my blog: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/...
  4. Gibbs broken metatarsal. Surgery on Wednesday. Huge setback for him and Arsenal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport...
  5. Wenger's explanation for Denilson's ability to swerve the ball. "I think Brazilians have shorter ankles - although I've not checked."
  6. Further Gibbs update from Wenger. "It doesn't look good. The vibes I get from the medical people are not very positive." Bitter blow.
  7. Wenger worried about Gibbs. Gone for x-ray on leg. "He's got a hole in his leg." Unhappy with Mangala's tackle. "It was not his first try."
  8. Arsenal win 2-0 despite the odd scare. Impressive group stage. Joy from Gunners' fans as the news of Liverpool's CL demise filters through.
  9. Big cheers around the Emirates as Theo Walcott replaces Samir Nasri. Good opportunity for Walcott this.
  10. 2-0 Arsenal. Denilson. Should I be totally impartial or admit I love watching Arsenal when they play like this? Oh go on then I admit it.
  11. Arsenal 1 up. Samir Nasri with a good finish after slip by Landry Mulemo. Fully deserved.
  12. Poor old Andrey Arshavin. Down with a head wound after a clash with Gallas. Lots of blood about - he's taking a battering from his own team.
  13. Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin has just cleared off the line miraculously. The slight snag is that it was from a shot by Thomas Vermaelen.
  14. Standard Liege fans jeering Elvis Presley's "The Wonder Of You" at The Emirates. What has the world come to?
  15. Theo Walcott only on the bench for Arsenal. Would have liked to have seen him start. The Emirates nowhere near full yet.
  16. @brad_scott Grant staying as director of football apparently. So new man would need to work with him if he does not want top job himself.
  17. Will Avram Grant do any better than Paul Hart if he gets Portsmouth job? I wouldn't put a lot of money on it with Pompey in current state.
  18. Paul Hart leaves Portsmouth. If ever a man deserved a better footballing fate it was him. Did all the dirty work and this is his reward.
  19. @JamboTheJourno Babel has ability - see goal v Lyon - but too often doesn't even flatter to deceive. Should take reponsibility for failings.
  20. @gib2504 Warnock also in frame for WC. Baines has dropped out of contention, so Gibbs has chance to be Ashley Cole's understudy.
