  1. managed to work a full day - guess I'm recovered
  2. you shouldn't be able to get sick in the summer - feels like the flu. Lousy whatever it is.
  3. going to be 90 today - that sounds like summer to me! Morning walk felt pretty warm at 60. Can't take the heat anymore, I guess.
  4. remembering the almost total daylight in Alaska this time of year - bad for fireworks, as I recall.
  5. @stevemtzn my limited car knowledge says Yes, that's bad. But there's $ for Clunkers out there! Here's your chance! (see the Wed. Chronicle)
  6. uh oh - wind is picking up, severe storms are forecast. Hope they wait until I get home (guess this means no after-work walk!)
  7. guess haze yesterday was really volcano and emissions in Russia - who knew? I still read anyway!
  8. lazy hazy day - guess I'll just read
  9. Ed McMahon, Farrah, and MJ - that should be it for awhile, right?
  10. enjoying the sound of rain on the library's metal roof - as long as it doesn't start leaking!
  11. wondering if I can read 2 7-day books in one week - don't I need 14 days? Poor hold management on my part, I guess.
  12. glad to be back for an afternoon - have to ease into work after vacation! Full day tomorrow, then my weekend. Nice plan...
  13. wondering if a beautiful Memorial Day weekend = empty library. I'd like to think so but won't hold my breath - regulars will be here anyway
  14. our ISP changed our address w/out telling anyone - yes it's a free gift, but don't we get basic courtesy with that?
  15. wondering why everyone is in the library instead of outside on such a beautiful day!
  16. @bigskyred the only ski jumping I'll ever do! still experience the agony of defeat at times...at least it's not so painful
  17. think this must be what living in a snow globe would feel like - never seen snow swirl around quite like this!
  18. nicer day + end of semester = almost no one in the library!
  19. appears library patrons have finally discovered the sunshine outside - computers are almost empty
  20. @sreymer consider it a helpful stress-relieving service? thinking strong thoughts for you!
