  1. wonders why he has such trouble making the villains in his #nanowrimo novel actually be evil rather than just blandly unpleasant.
  2. RT @timbray: URGENT: Anyone reading this in Tokyo, please check http://apachenews.org/ Suicide-prevention in order?
  3. RT @leonardspeiser: How far can a retweet go? Please help me with my experiment by retweeting. Don't matter if you hate the new RT, 1 mi ...
  4. Bah, my #nanowrimo novel is boring even me. But almost on track word-count wise. Just gotta shake things up somehow.
  5. The official Coders at Work errata list is at http://codersatwork.com/err...
  6. Collecting errata for new printing of Coders at Work. There are plenty. Email (peter@gigamonkeys.com) or Tweet me if you've found some.
  7. @lemonodor Really? Ouch.
  8. I have a cold. I want this: RT @bramcohen A flute which vibrates all the mucus out of your lungs http://bit.ly/4M9fm
  9. Gave a talk about Coders at Work at Google today. Should be up on Google video in a week or so.
  10. I feel lame with only one NaNoWriMo writing buddy. If you're a Wrimo, feel free to go here http://bit.ly/A45id and add me as a buddy.

  13. So far a clean install of Ubuntu 9.10 seems to have cured much of what ailed my #system76 notebook. Here's hoping.
  14. No new words today for #nanowrimo but I outlined a whole, not too terribly cheesy, semi-dystopic S.F. plot on a yellow legal pad.
  15. @rplevy If I knew that I'd probably be making better progress. :-|
  16. @sellout Seems like cheating to do anything but the most idle of musing pre November. But maybe that's how the pro's do it. #nanowrimo
  17. I love this http://bit.ly/4crwhE, especially the folks who just finished a marathon and *still* can pick up their kid to share the moment.
  18. Okay. 15 words ahead of the game but those 1,682 words do not even begin to begin a novel. I'm not sure I can do this 29 more times. :-(
  19. National Novel Writing Month is one day old and already kicking my butt.
  20. Oh, and it doesn't even feel any faster than the aging PPC Powerbook it was meant to replace.
