  1. For @mizmoose - the best cover of this song I know of. ♫ http://blip.fm/~gd2uk
  2. Deriving a perverse amount of satisfaction from painting and assembling Republican Roman cavalry. Photos tomorrow.
  3. What kind of world do we live in where "The Iron Giant" would fail at the box office?
  4. Elise, a precocious aesthete of not inconsiderable passion, plummeted from a cliff on St. Swithin's Day. http://bit.ly/28NGpc
  5. Everyone knows that Cleopatra wasn't actually "native Egyptian", but was basically inbred Macedonian royalty, right?
  6. Celebrating Veterans' day by leading the Ptolemies towards glorious victory over the perfidious Seleucid Empire.
  7. When I write a ton of code that compiles/runs correctly the first time, I nervously look around for the meteor that is going to fall on me.
  8. @PghNeedsEated I used to write every day. Of late I've been slacking. It comes in waves. When I write more regularly, the quality goes up.
  9. Today's quote: "[L]iberal or conservative...it's dangerous to think with exclamation points instead of question marks." http://bit.ly/2ugpZy
  10. My "still playing it" review of Dragon Age is live: http://bit.ly/1HHYPl
  11. '"You won't be young forever. You should have written 15!" It's work! The most important thing is work.' -Lou Reed, after Andy Warhol
  12. @tilt There is a mod for Medieval II: Total War that puts it in the third age of Tokien. Ow ow ow.
  13. @TroyGoodfellow I tried so hard to care about EU2. I failed.
  14. "Serenity" picoreview: Hated every minute of its terrible acting and worse dialogue, but I approve of the movie's Asskicking Density Factor.
  15. @GraceQuek You're closer to the game than I am. Send some positive Steel Curtain energy towards the away team in Denver.
  16. @gatmog @TroyGoodfellow Oblivions is plenty flawed too, of course. But it does what it meant to better than DA:O does what it meant to.
  17. @gatmog @TroyGoodfellow It's telling that the main effect Dragon Age has had on me is to make me play more Oblivion.
  18. @gatmog I also think Eurogamer's perspective on the difficulty ramp are spot-on, but I can't get into that in 140 characters.
  19. @gatmog The writing and acting are Bioware-quality, so it's not like it's a train wreck. It just feels, to me, like it was dialed in.
  20. @gatmog @troygoodfellow At each moment, Dragon Age asks itself "What would be the most hackneyed, cliched thing here?" and then does that.
