  1. @ldodds so RDF might be 'better.' If so, let it rise to the top rather than excluding people by mandating it unnecessarily.
  2. @ldodds put some thing online, and explicitly refer to some other thing from within it. Done. RDF certainly good at this, but not essential.
  3. @iand yes, would be bad to build Web from PDF or Linked Data Web from Excel. There's a more welcoming space than requiring RDF to play, tho.
  4. @kidehen I'm certainly not objecting to the need for #HTTP #URIs... Those *make* the links... #LinkedData
  5. @rjw diplomat! :-)
  6. @iand Bah. I *am* labelling it properly! My point is that not all Linked Data need be RDF !!! At all. Ever.
  7. @kidehen :-)
  8. @iand it's disingenuous to suggest that sticking everything in RDF makes it MEANINGFULLY interoperable...
  9. @iand we may have to agree to disagree, then. I see an important trend potentially diminished; RDF one good answer, not only answer.
  10. New Semantic Web Gang Podcast; the Gang discuss #RDF triple stores and more. http://bit.ly/XGqXR
  11. @iand but it ISN'T an alternative. Some of you are unnecessarily narrowing...
  12. RT @defrag: @davewiner @immunity @paulmiller - [post] - Agenda Additions - http://defragcon.com/Blog/?...
  13. RT @defrag: i'm pleased to note that we've added @immunity and @paulmiller to the defrag agenda. [I'm pleased, too! :-) ]
  14. @iand that just muddies picture. Blind application of tech-specific rules to generic principles is insanely counter-productive. #linkeddata
  15. @iand nonsense.
  16. @andypowe11 the same could be said for OUR opinion, of course... but we ARE entitled to it. #linkeddata
  17. @andypowe11 just because a group of people say it, doesn't mean it's true... ;-) #linkeddata
  18. @andypowe11 I'd argue that the important bit is "provide useful information." ;-)
  19. @andypowe11 well, personally, I'd argue that Linked Data does NOT require that phrase. But I know others disagree... ;-)
  20. RT @hubmum: Non personal data set links live now on www.homeoffice.gov.uk/data #opendata
