  1. I have 17 tabs open in FireFox - is it just me that works like this?
  2. @jimiinc @fiberguy I'm sure there are plenty of catchphrases out there. Here's one: "Fibre makes light work of broadband" ? #profiberslogans
  3. @digitalbritain Love the new look, but your new website is a slow as treacle... hope that's only temporary.
  4. RT @tom_watson: It'll break the Internet. I will not support this and neither should you. http://bit.ly/Yarrrrr
  5. RT @soulier_covage: French Government: 2 bn Euro for FTTH http://ideotel.typepad.fr/i... ...
  6. Took me 2hrs yesterday to download 1 audio from #nextgen09, & I live 1km from xchange on nominal 6Mbps connection. True download rate 4kpbs.
  7. @garethspence gingerbread latte - that sounds yummy! nothing that sophisticated available where i live in the deepest, darkest Cotswolds.
  8. Consumers have questions about BT's FTTP/C broadband, but can't find the answers... http://bit.ly/hQyIe (via @@FiberNews)
  9. @brian_condon Oops sorry for the mistake. Yes, they are quite different.
  10. Looks like #nextgen09 videos going online. Here's a classic moment - what happened to £22bn gov took from telecoms? http://bit.ly/3UAZbf
  11. @briandolby PS Hope you get home safely. How was Glasgow?
  12. @howard_jones Thanks for the lead.
  13. @johnpopham Hey, that's really useful. You're a star!
  14. @lightwaveonline Facebook makes sense for consumer brands, but for business brands, I reckon it's a big no. Personally I don't mix the two.
  15. V interesting talk from ALU's Gabrielle Gauthey at #nextgen09 - how France invested in local backhaul for 1st gen broadband. Will write up.
  16. @watfordgap Yes, I'm seeing that msg about Orange too - guess that link is wrong.
  17. Just blogged: backhaul bottlenecks - 360 people sharing 5 Mbit/s of backhaul: http://bit.ly/32iNn3.
  18. @cyberdoyle Community angle was good, but disappointed with confusion on what NGA means - to some it's just "better than what we have now".
  19. @mduchesn Fibre to the church got a mention in today's fibrecamp session at #NextGen09
  20. Backhaul is the bane of community networks. Putting 100Mbps to homes is no good if struggling with 10Mbps backhaul #NextGen09
