  2. "When I am sad and weary, when all my hope is gone, I walk around my house and think of you with nothing on..." ---Bluetonic/The Bluetones
  3. Bought a suit today. I knew it was going to take a lot out of me, and I was right. Thank God for quiet tailors.
  4. The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, he said. ..., but still they come....H.G. Wells
  5. A. gave me a button.
  6. R. gave me a book of Malcolm Lowry short stories; I am understandably floored. We did, after all, read Under The Volcano together & survived
  7. WSER, which is Missing The Moon's very own internet radio station, was off the blog for 10 days, but has now been restored to its home. Yay!
  8. Really liked the Coen's movie; hilarious and bleak at the same time. Decided against seeing the circus vampire flick. Not in the circus mood
  9. What started as a mild drizzle has turned into a heavy drenching rain. Mail all wet, machines not running properly, managers very nervous.
  10. Expect the unexpected.
  11. "The long arm of the law slides up the outskirts of town/Meanwhile in Clubland they are ready to pull them down." ---Clubland/Elvis Costello
  12. Great rock lines: "Rock and roll by the light of the silvery moon." ----Bony Moronie/Larry Williams
  13. Told R. that the one thing I want to do before I die is read The Recognitions (and JR), then I showed her my copy. She wants to read it too.
  14. Cold. Raining. I am wearing a hood. It snowed in the CT foothills and also in Hebron, which has symbolic significance for a few of us.
  15. Great Rock Lines: "For a little while/I was falling in love." ---Space Age Love Song/A Flock Of Seagulls
  16. On their new album, Madness are trying to channel Squeeze. Which is curious, since Squeeze always had a hard time channeling themselves.
  17. Great Rock Lines: “Don’t say you’re easy on me/You’re about as easy as a nuclear war” ---Is There Something I Should Know?/Duran Duran
  18. Great Rock Lines: "As cross as she can be." ----Paintbox/The Pink Floyd
  19. A nightmare: me driving a car, but steering using handles on either end of the dashboard. There was no steering wheel. I ended up on Route 6
  20. Cold and windy, gusts going all the way to 40 mph. Been wondering about which came first: handsie or footsie, the chicken or the egg.
