  1. @chrismay That's not possible right now. Workaround: create a user, and set up the contact details for the user to page 2 or more people.
  2. @chrismay Reason we support email is b/c any monitoring tool can send it. We also plan to support XMPP for alerting in addition to phone/SMS
  3. @chrismay We're working on an API to trigger/resolve alarms. Would that work for you?
  4. @chrismay Only good way to tell if your mail server dies is to use an external monitoring service like Pingdom.
  5. @markimbriaco Hi Mark. We're not designers, so we got inspiration from sites we like (37signals). Do you have any advice on how to improve?
  6. @lennysan Of course, we're pretty fanatic about monitoring the system ourselves. We get paged within 2 min if an alert doesn't get sent.
  7. @lennysan We have designed PagerDuty for redundancy: we're using multiple EC2 data centers, and we have multiple redundant email servers.
  8. @jesserobbins Thanks Jesse! FYI, we are running on EC2 on multiple data centers, so we can survive a data center outage.
  9. New feature: Keep track of how often you're dragged out of bed with PagerDuty's latest feature: alert reporting. http://bit.ly/7b2AUB
  10. RT @aremysitesup: PagerDuty - Could be VERY useful in conjunction with an AMSU account - http://www.pagerduty.com/ @PagerDuty
  11. @jdelstrother Yep, UK and international calling is definitely on the roadmap. We're hoping to have it done in the next month and a half.
  12. @martinkl alerts (including repeats and alerts to other people after an escalation) count toward the limit. They get refreshed every month.
  13. @pagerduty got a mention on TechCrunch Europe http://bit.ly/2aLxkQ
  14. RT @TCEurope Red Gate’s Springboard incubator startups unveiled http://bit.ly/1ciLJ5
  15. The pricing plans for PagerDuty are official. Check them out here: http://www.pagerduty.com/plans Questions, feedback, pls let us know.
  16. @mhalligan Flexible calendar is coming soon (end of Nov). Drop us an email @ support@pagerduty, we'd like to learn more about your req'ments
  17. @servman If you have an SMS plan, they shouldn't be. It should be Canada-wide. See http://tr.im/CdUM and click on Legal Disclaimer (point 3)
  18. @servman In the meantime, can you use PagerDuty site from your phone, so you don't have to SMS?
  19. @servman I don't know if there's much we can do about the SMS. Hard to convince provider to work around the crappiness that is Rogers.
  20. @servman We're in Canada too. Rogers doesn't charge for long distance SMS if you have unlimited SMS. Didn't know they charged othewise.
