  1. @mekahldownish CCIE Candidate spotlight? Can you somehow shine a light on me and infuse me with the knowledge to pass my Security lab?
  2. @TacAck yes. He is good. There is just so much material to cover.
  3. @TacAck I was told it was going to be Jared Scrivener, but evidently he is in Australia. Tyson Scott is teaching the class.
  4. @TacAck I have spent about 13 hours each of the first two days.
  5. IPExpert CCIE Security bootcamp-day one. CBAC, ASA and general topics today. VPNs tomorrow. Should be fun.
  6. @TacAck Class was good, but it was a lot of work. It is about 10:45pm local time and I've only been done for about a half am hour.
  7. @dreinidaho The last I checked I was told it would be Jared Scrivener.
  8. IPExpert's CCIE Security class tomorrow. I'm so psyched.
  9. @TacAck Evernote works on a pc too, as well as most phones. Linux via web interface only.
  10. Checking out the new version of Evernote and it seems to have matured a lot. It may come in handy next week. http://www.evernote.com/
  11. Been going over lab 5a again. Progress not as fast as I'd like. Wish IPX would build labs small enough that I could do on weeknights too
  12. @TacAck The IPExpert Labs are good. My only complaint is time is always an issue. I'd like to see more and shorter labs in volume 1.
  13. Countdown to my CCIE Security class on Monday. Can't wait.
  14. @TacAck I have heard good things about their (INE) materials too. Great blogs too. Jared Scrivener works @ IPX and he's supposedly awesome.
  15. @TacAck Small Nets and the Labs are not that different. The CCIE labs are not that big, but lots of obscure, difficult configurations.
  16. @TacAck I use http://proctorlabs.com because the are partnered with IPExpert which I use also. Internetwork Expert also have labs for rent.
  17. @routerguy True, I just don't understand why some deviate so far from the standard UI look and feel.
  18. @punkwalrus That is a bit scary. He might be lacking real world experience if he isn't familiar nslookup.
  19. @TacAck Slow, but I have my IPExpert Class Next Week. Looking forward to some good progress.
  20. @TacAck or possibly more like a bunch of protocols mixed together to make a solution...
