  1. Listened to "Single Ladies" sixteen times in a row. Still not sick of it one bit.
  2. @lmcnelly Ha, nice to see someone finding an old "favorite" of mine. I've actually since softened my stance on one or two of those.
  3. You may say that I ain't free, but it don't worry me.
  4. "A Single Man" (2009) - Exclusively made up of rookie mistakes. Borrows too much from "American Beauty." Clearly made by a fashion designer.
  5. @lmcnelly But I think I sorta agree with your original assessment: a good, at times very good movie, but that's about it.
  6. @lmcnelly However, I found the rehearsal dinner and subsequent conversations to be very truthful, and the best parts of the film.
  7. A donation has been made in your name to The Human Fund -- "Money for People." Happy Festivus, good people.
  8. This midnight "Avatar" in IMAX line is pathetic. T-minus 2:15 and there are 8 patrons in line.
  9. A look at film handicapping and how it relates to indies, and, more specifically, "Blanc de Blanc": http://bit.ly/71ykHy
  10. Why are people fine when critic associations "nominate" 10 best films, but cry when Oscar decides to do it?
  11. @lmcnelly I really wish it was much more of an exact science than it actually is. I feel like I'm just taking stabs in the dark.
  12. Met a grown human who actually says, "OMG." #officechristmasparty
  13. @gruber I know I've missed the last-night deadline, but, I pray, speak plainly: am I too late to order a DF shirt?
  14. Orson Welles (that voice!) interview [video] -- "I'm ashamed of Rosebud. [...] It's the thing I like least in 'Kane'." http://bit.ly/6MrHtC
  15. Now, a few years after that, as my boss cleans out his office, he hands me a copy of the "28 Days Later" DVD. A sign of a coming apocalypse?
  16. A few years later, lost the DVD, and eventually re-purchased "28 Days Later" from the bargain bin with my fiance.
  17. First received "28 Days Later" on DVD as a birthday gift from an ex-girlfriend.
  18. Loitering in Premiere Video, easily the best movie rental place in Dallas.
  19. Prediction: by the end of January, my tempered appreciation of "Up in the Air" will have morphed into outright hate thanks to overpraising.
  20. New at BC: "Who Says You Can't Learn Anything From Toys?" re:"Toy Story," and my first attempt at a "blogazine" format: http://bit.ly/5Ctoyo
