1. #Amazon violates their own #EULA: "Upon..payment, Amazon grants you the..right to keep a permanent copy of the..Content" http://bit.ly/5FSrt
2. Publishers aren't allowed to break into people's houses and take back books so why can they force a #Kindle to do the same? #Amazon #Orwell
3. Why breaking #DRM should be legal: http://bit.ly/6l3cv As soon as you turn on #Kindle wireless, all your Orwell books are gone. (via @stark)
4. @singpolyma Sort of. It would be better to run #Courgette on binaries inside the .deb and then distribute those diffs. #Presto #DeltaRPM
5. #Courgette is neat: http://bit.ly/163lRD . I hope #DeltaRPM (http://bit.ly/cg0xM) starts using it. Now we just need "DeltaDEB" for #Debian.
6. Essence of #iTunes blocking #Pre: http://twitter.com/dallant/... #Apple is just another anti-competitive, proprietary silo.
7. The fight is on: http://bit.ly/sMceK #Apple #Palm #Pre #iTunes
8. R @glynmoody Why Private Browsing Isn’t… - http://bit.ly/cOApz and another reason why Flash is evil #privacy #flash #cookies
9. @sundress Follow Twitter users with http://tw2omb.singpolyma.net/, use URL like http://bit.ly/6V5C for @ replies, add Tw account in Connect.
10. #YouTube dropping support for #IE6: http://tech.slashdot.org/st... Hopefully many people will choose non-IE for upgrade.
11. OS as a bootloader for the browser: http://bit.ly/16Qarz I guess for many it is.
12. @kenpardue The #DRM problem is orthogonal to which codecs are chosen. You can encapsulate any codec in a DRM scheme.
13. @kenpardue If you use #DRM, you'll be locked into a single proprietary software stack from one vendor. Codecs are the least of your worries.
14. @kenpardue Video publishers would install the #Theora encoder and export to it if all browsers supported Theora. That would make it better.
15. @kenpardue #Theora is solved for tools that use DirectShow or QuickTime (just need to add Theora filter). Or is other support needed?
16. @kenpardue So am I. Hopefully #Theora can become more accessible, too. Any areas where you feel it's particularly inaccessible?
17. @kenpardue Posting a picture from my digital camera should be free. I should be able to use the tools I want, not the ones MS/Apple define.
18. @kenpardue And that codec must be free so web devs don't have to pay. Better to agree on #Theora than to have the legal baggage of #H.264.
19. @kenpardue I don't like forcing a particular codec either. But to make as easy as , browsers must agree on at least one codec.
20. @kenpardue #YouTube is the bar to meet for online video. Few care about higher quality than that on the web. #Theora is good enough for web.
