  1. @Frank_Jacobs That little pop-up canopy is the stage?! We used one of those today and could barely fit 5 people and some dog crates under it
  2. Home in time for fireworks! Lovely specialty. Deacon won a sweepstakes class, romped with a ridgeback and we all had lots of time to visit.
  3. Happy Forth of July, eh?
  4. Putting a curse on the jackasses that set off firecrackers at 3am on a hot night with all our windows open. Jerks.
  5. Happy Felix Day!
  6. Lower Mainland Whippet Specialty, ready or not--here we come!! Passport-check. Puppy-check. 3 pounds of random canadian coins-check. Xiim!
  7. Contributed a post, with photos, to a friend's birthday blog. I know, I'm a day late and a dollar short on the blog thing. It's easy peasy.
  8. Trying to tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue. It's not working.
  9. Upon examination, the chew toy Deacon had on the lawn turned out to be a mummified squirrel carcass. And he licks me with that tongue. Ewww.
  10. Close call: Saw the gate was open-no sign of Deacon in the yard! Ran out front and yelled his name--he came streaking down the block!! Gasp.
  11. @Frankhjacobs I bet Mike and Deb had a wonderfully relaxing Canada Day for the first time in ages.
  12. Cool! Dragged a power cord out of the garage and plugged in the MacBook on the patio table. Hmmm, that hammock looks enticing.
  13. @Frankhjacobs Oh Canada! I'll be having my gin & tonic right on schedule. Not sure where my yardarm is exactly but the sun is in position!
  14. Re-homing one of our dog crates and searching madly for the bag with the fasteners that hold it together. I put it in a safe place....;-)
  15. Rabbit-rabbit!
  16. @Frank_Jacobs What did you see at the amphitheater?
  17. Oh, these shears from Smith & Hawken are going right back to the shop. They do NOT "sing", they "snick". And it hurts my hand to use them.
  18. Hmpf! Smith & Hawken no longer sells Burgon and Ball sheep shears, only a much smaller Taiwanese knock-off. Which I bought.
  19. Software updated. Dishes washed. Laundry going. And it's Park O'clock!
  20. @WhippetSnippets Mmmmm, free-range snausages!!
