  1. @AndrewDignan I'm guessing it'll be overvalued by critics who are simply happy to see Disney returning to traditional animation.
  2. @paperlung Also, Fassbinder.
  3. @paperlung Roy Andersson. 25 years between 1975's GILIAP and his next feature, SONGS FROM 2ND FLOOR. Another 7 for YOU, THE LIVING.
  4. Was hoping Nebraska might win Saturday. Would've been fun to hear BCS folks' reason for keeping Cincy/Boise St/TCU out of title game.
  5. @benlim You certainly didn't miss anything noteworthy.
  6. @ebertchicago Um, Rog- you mean 1967. No way Judd Apatow is older than my dad.
  7. @vjmorton Of course, I type that post just after one praising a Von Trier film. Go figure in my opinion.
  8. @vjmorton Precisely. Not that I get off on watching heroines suffer, but the lapsed Catholic in me felt some sort of penance was in order.
  9. ANTICHRIST (09 LVT) [8] Still processing the strange thicket of ideas, but if nothing else, it's the most effective horror film in years.
  10. Also, the third act passes in the time it takes to boil an egg. Scherfig might as well have ended with "So I learned my lesson. The end."
  11. AN EDUCATION (09 Scherfig) [5] Mulligan shines, but arthouse robs this of any impact it could've had.
  12. @zhandlen We took the 88-degree reading in the projectionist's office, where there were no projectors. Imagine how hot the booth itself got.
  13. @aliarikan Ahem. You mean in its ORIGINAL Klingon.
  14. @zhandlen I once worked in a theatre where the HVAC for the proj. booth broke down. Got up to *88* before they finally got it fixed.
  15. @nictate What kind of issues? Like that she's a crappy actress? Because that's the main issue I have with her.
  16. I'd gladly spend a week in violent barfing misery if it meant I didn't have to suffer through a winter of unending head congestion. Ugh.
  17. Wow, my #Tweetcloud makes me sound sensitive and wussy. But would sensitive wusses use "awesome" as much as I do? I think not!
  18. I just generated a #TweetCloud out of a month of my tweets. Top three words: feel, awesome, maybe - http://w33.us/50ky
  19. You know, Browns- if you're going to be losers, you could at least have the good manners to be lovable.
  20. @nictate Whoda think that Patrick Dempsey would've been the first fully successful version?
