  1. *Black Dahlia* just got incoherent. Linscott family belong in something Gothic, not hard-boiled.
  2. "I've worked hard to be loose, the way people described Betty - it was like she was a natural." Love the way she delivers that line!
  3. Either have the triangle plot or the cop and the poor little rich girl thrown together plot.
  4. Martha is a really interesting character, but it's like they're trying to fit two movies into one.
  5. Watching *Black Dahlia*. *L.A. Confidential* definitely better.
  6. The lentils I just cooked are edible and have flavor and that's about all that can be said for them.
  7. Buying these shoes http://www.zappos.com/earth-ziggy-ochre-eclipse only at a different website with an ugly pic but for a better price.
  8. To do list is getting kinda long.
  9. I need a to do list even for days I only plan to futz around and chill out.
  10. Snowing all evening so I won't be getting outside to get some exercise. Hope I'll sleep well tonight since I have Things To Do tomorrow.
  11. Went to bed at 4 am. Slept 12 hours. Excellent use of a Saturday.
  12. @platypus_toc Congrats! Has the hamster been named yet? I vote either Hippolytus or Horatio.
  13. @tiferet93 Bc of their general attitude over there, or is it just not something you talk about at all casually?
  14. @tiferet93 "Really says"? Do you mean teh gay, or are there historical references in the names that I'm missing?
  15. @tiferet93 Yeah, and you'd probably want to at least touch on how religion effects your style. And you tell good stories.
  16. @erinya No hurry, it's not an urgent question. Well, so far as I know.
  17. @erinya I hope it holds through the weekend. Much thesising on Sat night and Sun. I hope.
  18. @erinya And nine is totally accurate for the day so far, actually.
  19. Pretty cover, though.
  20. Rare-ish edition of _The People of the Mist_ by H. Rider Haggard. I'd like to read one of his books, but not one that smells so musty.
