  1. @_krispy_ Nice!
  2. @pedestrienne That'll be quite a contrast. Do you prefer it cooler?
  3. @pedestrienne Lots of snow here. Sorry.
  4. I'm a programmer, not a geek. I have surprisingly little interest in most geek culture. It's that culture that makes a geek (I'm thinking).
  5. No, I tell a lie. I'm down to 23. Bah, you don't care anyway.
  6. Got my RSS down to 8 subscriptions from 40+, I think.
  7. I gave up on blog/opinion reading before but was dragged back by all the new stuff I didn't know about. The best knowledge is timeless.
  8. Thinking about giving up on blogs/opinion reading in favor of books. "Current" info is good until you're up-to-date then it's just a waste.
  9. Does anybody keep a reading schedule where they try to read a certain amount everyday? Thoughts/experiences? Does it work?
  10. I'd say the flute is an underrated instrument.
  11. @peteforde Can relate? http://www.boingboing.net/2009/12/11/dr-peter-watts-canad.html
  12. @onion2k Oh, I see. I didn't realize the contradiction. I think the PM/AM takes precedence.
  13. Feeling feelings of freedom for @peterjwest who just quit his job. It's one of the best feelings.
  14. @onion2k I like it.
  15. Also really need to read Domain Driven Design book. But that's got to come after all my existing reading. I'm like a student ATM as it is.
  16. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was losing faith in unit tests. Then I listened to this: http://is.gd/5hahN Time for a rethink.
  17. Borders has gone into administration in the UK. One of the few things I like here. :-(
  18. @gf3 Nope, learning Haskell.
  19. Combinators confound me.
  20. (For the second time).
