  1. @psnively yeah, I know. But R6Rs have some other problems... =)
  2. @nordgren what dollhouse stuff is out?
  3. @psnively @pandamonial no, that's not what I said. I know what F# adds. But I'm wondering why Amanda finds F# superior to OCaML.
  4. @psnively yep, but the non-hygienic macros aren't part of the standard.
  5. @headius sure, descriptive identifiers are good - but they don't look much like words in English.
  6. @erinisfunky no, you can use them to filter among your friends too.
  7. @headius of course, "regular" identifiers, method names and such, doesn't look much like English words either.
  8. @lbhuston uhm, no I can't, since people don't tag their tweets like that. there is no way to create a filter that removes politics.
  9. @david_j_rice totally agree. it's a complete mess.
  10. @billsix PAIP is my favorite Lisp book ever.
  11. @headius actually, it's more simplification and unification. I dislike having operators being separate things at all.
  12. I wish Twitter had channels. I would be OK with three: #tech, #personal, #politics. Since noone uses tags for these things, its hard to avoid
  13. .@pandamonial @psnively I don't say I don't see anything new. I interpreted ++ as increment, not analogy with C++
  14. @psnively PLT Scheme is nice - and I agree, both need extensions, but Common Lisp need less. Scheme doesn't even have "real" macros.
  15. Today has been a productive day. I've almost rooted out all the bugs in my project - soon it's ready for merging!!
  16. @psnively well, most academics prefer Scheme, no surprise there. =)
  17. Hmm. It seems JRuby needs an equivalent of T_DATA, finally. How annoying.
  18. Shit. Todays most stupid bug: had written "len =+ skip" instead of "len += skip" ... this was really, really, really stupid.
  19. Sometimes I really hate how good the JVM's gc:s are. It makes it play havoc with JRuby id's.
  20. @peter_c_william it's beetween 25 and 30 degrees most of June and July.
